These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern participation in the Roll Call SMS text messaging program operated by Erwin Utilities Authority (“Erwin Utilities Authority,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By opting in to receive SMS messages from the Roll Call program, you agree to these Terms.

Program Description

Roll Call is an internal staff notification and safety accountability system for active employees of Erwin Utilities Authority. When you opt in, you will receive SMS text messages related to safety drills, internal safety meetings, severe weather events, building evacuation or shelter procedures, and account verification. Each message may contain a secure single-use link that you tap to confirm your status.

Eligibility

Participation is limited to active employees of Erwin Utilities Authority. The program is not available to the general public, and members of the public cannot register to receive these messages.

Consent

Participation is voluntary and is not a condition of employment. You provide consent by verifying your mobile number with a one-time code and then actively selecting a separate, unchecked-by-default “Receive SMS notifications” checkbox within your Roll Call account. Consent to receive text messages is captured by this dedicated checkbox and is not bundled with any other agreement.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on operational events. A typical week includes one to four messages, with additional messages during drills or severe weather events.

Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Erwin Utilities Authority is not responsible for any charges imposed by your mobile carrier.

Opting Out

You may opt out at any time by:

• Replying STOP to any message received from the program
• Unchecking “Receive SMS notifications” on the profile screen within the Roll Call application
• Replying HELP to any message for assistance

Opt-out requests are honored immediately.

No Sharing of Mobile Information

Mobile telephone numbers and SMS consent collected for the Roll Call program are never sold, rented, or shared with any third party or affiliate for marketing or promotional purposes. See our SMS Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your information.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Revisions will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
