Sample Preservation & Storage Requirements
To ensure accurate results, if it takes more than one hour to transport your sample(s) to the lab after collection, the sample(s) must include a Trip Blank and be kept dark, cool, and unfrozen at less than 10°C using ice or blue ice during transit. Please ensure the sample(s) do not come into direct contact with frozen ice packs; they should be insulated with bubble wrap, crumpled paper, or similar material. Samples not meeting these requirements will be rejected and will need to be resampled. A Trip Blank will be provided to you when you receive your sample container. Our laboratory analysts will use the Trip Blank to verify the storage temperature of your sample(s).
Please be aware that our laboratory analysts will REJECT all water samples not meeting the preservation and storage requirements for this test method.
